Gappy Roberts aspires beyond Botswana

One ‘Gappy Roberts’ Gabasiane is an upcoming R’n’B trap soul artist from Mahalapye, who was raised in Gaborone and hopes to dominate both the local and international industry.

Gabasiane told Showbiz in an interview that he is a songwriter, singer and rapper and that he was raised in a musical family. “I was raised in a family of musicians and found out that I could also sing and that’s when I began to sing with my siblings from a very young age” he said.

His siblings include the Queen of Jazz, Puna Gabasiane, My Star 2011 winner; Bianca Gabasiane, Botswana’s renowned artist Edward ‘Senyomfere’ Gabasiane as well as My African Dream 2008 winner Towelah Nkomo.  He highlighted that his music is a fusion of rapping and singing and that he is focused on motivating people to work hard.
