Gaborone Philharmonic Voices scooped this year’s President’s Day competitions top prize in the choral standard category held at Sir Seretse Khama Barracks over the weekend.

The youthful Gaborone Philharmonic Voices battled it out with Maun Choral, Palapye Voices and Camels Choir from Tsabong.  Even though the show started an hour late, the choirs did not disappoint, much to the appreciation of the audience.

First to hit the notes, was Gaborone Philharmonic Voices, followed by Maun Choral, Palapye Voices and Camel Choir. All the choirs were tasked with a song titled O Gorogile Ngwaga composed by Puso Phetwe.  Gaborone Philharmonic Voices Choir performed well with their neatly choreographed moves as motivated by their energetic conductor Ditiro Tlale.
