Expressing Intimacy Valentine Style

It is no coincidence that the event was celebrated only a day after the day valentine. The Tshedisa Residence Artists this past Saturday celebrated Valentine under the theme, The Power of Love with art, singing, dancing and theatre.

The first part of the program that was brief with a bit of poetry and some music. From there on there was more poetry recited and story telling but this time done under an intimate setting of an arch surrounding numerous lit candles. After that was done, those in attendance under the guidance of a Tshedisa official, Moabi Mogorosi were asked to appreciate the paintings. Part of the appreciation came with the audience interpreting what they saw on the paintings before the actual artists could come forth and explain their work.

The last session was a theatre performance that reflected on the sorry state of relationships in general. The evening of artistry was sealed off by a fierce acoustic performance from Samantha Mogwe. In sealing off the show, there was an interaction between the audience and artists.
