Minister Thapelo Olopeng or as DJ Tipps, when he is in his element, will add more fire into the 100 percent local lineup show. Alongside him will be Assistant Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry, Sadique Kebonang aka DJ Sadique. The all-night show will include artists such as Vee, Mapetla, Dramaboi, Katlego, MMP Family, Ban T, ATI, Sasa Klaas, Gaone, La TimmyEskimos, Slizer, Skazo, P Mac, Wizards, Chrome, Big L, and Team Distant.
Joining the ministers on the decks will be DJ Sly, DJ SID, DJ Izzy, DJ Gouvea, DJ Root, DJ Kenzo, DJ Ricky Lamar, DJ White and many more. The traditional artists line is made up of Ditiro Leero, Gongmaster, Mafitlhakgosi, Bana ba Ntongwa, Culture Spears and Tjilenje Tje Ngwao. MCs on the night would be T.H.A.B.O, Lehenza, Zizi, Sadi, Loungo and The German Twins. Various shows like Togetherness Celebrations Tour and Botswana 50th Pre Celebrations bash have been held around the BOT50 hype but the BOT50 board finally decided to host a show of their own. In an interview with Showbiz, the coordinator of BOT50, Charity Kgotlafela said the main goal of the Pop Up bash is to promote Botswana’s colours ahead of the celebrations.
