DJ Tich Mataz to headline nostalgic 90’s throwback event

The highly anticipated event, scheduled for Friday, August 1, 2025, at Cresta Lodge in Gaborone, promises to be a night of classic anthems, electrifying vibes, and heartfelt tribute to the 1990's decade that shaped a generation.

Curated by local promoter Nigel Motlogelwa, the event is described as a love letter to the vibrant radio and club scene of the 1990s. "Tich Mataz is a legend who soundtracked so many lives through his radio shows and mixes," Motlogelwa shares. "His return to the decks is a dream come true for fans who grew up on his sound. We’ve also handpicked Botswana’s finest old-school DJs—Otis Frazer, PJ The DJ, Kyle, Choto, Frostbite, Bigga, and Khenzo—to bring back that authentic energy, " he added.
