Cultural Fest fuels BOT50 celebrations at Shoshong

The village of Shoshong will host the first ever Ko Moraka Cultural Festival on September 30 as a way of promoting culture and pushing the mileage of BOT50 celebrations.

The event manager, Tony Petrus told Showbiz that the event is expected to attract over 5,000 people and provide conducive and vibrant BOT50 celebration to Shoshong residents. Petrus also said the annual festival is designed to embrace and unearth Setswana culture and encourage untapped business opportunities. “We vehemently believe our culture defines us as a nation,” he said.

He added that the event promises to attract foreign investors and ultimately boost the economy. “This will be achieved through a provision of various business models to support local and international companies,” he said.
