CHIPABO ropes children into Bot50 through beauty pageant

As the Bot50 fever is high across the country, Children’s Association of Performing Arts Botswana (CHIPABO) will be hosting a beauty pageant for the little ones.

According to the association’s financier and pageant organiser, Tshepiso Ntshole, they decided to come up with the event after realising that most of the Bot50 events were adult-oriented.  She said the organisation therefore decided to host pageants across the country where the winners would later battle it out for the Mr and Miss Little Independence crown at the grand finale in Gaborone before the big day of the golden jubilee.

“This pageant is also a way of selling CHIPABO. Even though the association has grown and spread to different parts of the country, we feel that some people are not aware of it and we are confident that through this competition we will get necessary exposure and many children will enroll in our programme,” she said.
