Funny man, Umbambi ‘Bambino’ Ndiwenyu recently made inroads into the South African and Lesotho comedy markets when he pulled off another successful performance last weekend.

His visits to South Africa and Lesotho have seen him perform alongside comics such as South Africans, Simphiwe Shembe, Thenjiwe Mosley, Chris Mapane, Kedibone Mulaudzi, and Lesotho comedian, Lilaphalapha.

The comic caught up with Showbiz recently, revealing a new and growing fan base in the two countries. “Through a connection with Mulaudzi of Premium Comedy SA, I was asked to do a 10-minute set back in March at The State Theatre in Pretoria, for which I got a standing ovation. I impressed so much I was booked to perform at Club Del Khuze,” said Bambino. After impressing on both occasions Bambino was booked for the Soweto International Comedy Festival. This has seen him touring with the festival’s comics around South Africa and recently Lesotho.
