After initially announcing that there will be two contestants at this year’s Miss Botswana grand finale, a company engaged to restructure the pageant Development Advance Institute (DAI) has added one more name to the list.

Modioki Gaborone and Moitshephi Elias were initially the two women interested in this year’s crown, but last year’s second princess, Neelo Nthobatsang, has since joined the race for the crown on Friday. 

Seven young women from last year’s pageant who were eligible clearly indicated that they were not interested because of the past ill treatment from organisers among other issues. But according to Miss Botswana Restructuring team leader, Basadi Masimolole they decided to give the women a chance to reconsider and that is when one of them decided to bend.
