The Botswana National Sport Commission (BNSC) has given the Botswana Karate Association (BOKA) the green light to bid for the 2024 Commonwealth Karate Championships.

Karate had shown interest in bidding for the event, but had to receive backing from the BNSC.

According to a letter written by BNSC acting games director, Boitumelo Moagi, the provisions are that the International Games and Events Hosting Committee (IGEHC) would work with BOKA to review and validate the budget and business model for the event.
