It is always wonderfully inspiring to see a young individual create something beautiful and worthwhile with their hands. One such inspiration is Boemo Lunga. This 22-year-old young man from Mmadinare has found a place for himself in the world of fine arts.
His Facebook page, Arts by Lunga displays most of his works and pushes him out there towards the best.
“I was not always the artist I am today honestly, it has been a long journey for me,” Lunga told Arts & Culture.
He started in junior school, but his passion for drawing grew right after senior school. He admits he never thought he would find himself into drawing as much as he is now because he was never good at art in school.
“I never did great in art compared to my classmates, but it came to me one day that drawing might just be my thing,” he said.
Lunga’s biggest supporter is his mother whom he said has been there to help him achieve what he has so far.
Other supporters include his family and
Boemo appeals to the public to help realise his dreams by pointing him in the right direction. He further went on to request support for his Facebook page, stating that he is open to correction and people’s opinions on how best to improve.
His strongest desire is to reach many audiences across the country and hopefully reach out to other younger members of society who feel drawn to fine arts.
Lunga is a student at the Nswazwi Brigade, but has also taken up a few hobbies to keep him occupied when he is not drawing or studying.
In his spare time, he practices mural painting and decoration, which he said, seems to be going pretty well for him.
