In a move seen as the acceleration of the process towards the establishment of the flying arm of the Police Service, six police officers will pursue technical training at the National Aviation Academy of the United States of America (US) and four at South Africa's 43 Air School.

Plans to set up the police air wing have been gaining momentum for the last year and a half.
