Investigations into the alleged financial misgovernance at the Botswana Premier League took a new twist yesterday afternoon when officers from Directorate on Corruption and Economic Crime (DCEC) raided the soccer body's offices and took away computers and other documents. The suspended BPL chief executive officer, Bennett Mamelodi and his board chairperson, Walter Kgabung were at the scene when the DCEC investigators swooped on the offices.

Don't let FMD outbreak drag on

Acting Agriculture Minister, Edwin Dikoloti, is right in saying opening an export-ready facility whilst Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is still spreading would risk getting the whole country blacklisted before a single carcass leaves the door.A ban like that would break the already stressed nation.
