Libya is a country still at war with itself hence the performance of its national soccer team at the Africa Nations Championships (CHAN) sounds more like a fairy tale. Libya won the championship by beating Ghana via a penalty shoot- out after a goalless draw in extra time


Despite unrest back home, the Libyans were like a breath of fresh air throughout the tournament. The Libyans were quite enterprising and this forced me to think of our own situation here in Botswana.
