Work on Phikwe P40m dual-carriage way to start

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Selebi-Phikwe Town Council will soon start the construction of a P40 million dual-carriage way on the town's Independence Road.

Mayor Amogelang Mojuta said construction is expected to start next month and the council hopes the project will increase the town's fortunes and make Phikwe a prime tourism destination in Botswana.

The contractor has already moved on site. The new road network project is marked to start a few metres into the town's Industrial Site past Selebi-Phikwe Secondary School down to the abattoir and past the traffic lights next to the Magistrate's Court to Syringa Lodge and end towards Phase Three turn-off on the way to Sefhophe.
