The Uninterrupted Moonlight Of Matsitama

MATSITAMA: From my vantage point on a window, I could see everything. There was a scavenging dog trotting by, its snort in the air dogging the scent of its next supper.

The moon was shining brightly. After all there are no streetlights in Matsitama. The dog stopped briefly to lower its head and sniff about, perhaps to confirm that it was indeed on the right track. Then it was off again.

My eyes could see as far as the line of gently swaying trees to my left. They were at the beck and call of a breeze that blew intermittently as if an invisible giant suffering from emphysema was breathing with difficulties.
