The 'homeboy' who could not pay his way on Christmas Day

"No animal cries if it is not in pain," was how one Maun resident appealed to his fellow passengers to help their 'homeboy' who did not have bus fare for passage to Maun on Christmas Day.

 When the bus left Francistown at 7.30a.m. on the Thursday, there was no indication that one of the passengers did not have the requisite bus fare.

A young man in his early 20s was the one who nearly stirred  controversy when the bus had just passed the Sebina junction on its way to Maun. This was after the bus conductor had collected fares from all passengers. She was under the impression that the young man was merely "one of those passengers who like to cheat", so she decided to hand him over to the bus driver to "sort him (the young man) out".
