Takeover to give brigades new lease of life

The Assistant Minister of Education Moggie Mbaakanyi has reaffirmed the ministry's commitment to the strengthening of technical vocational education and training to make it more responsive to the changing technological environment.

Launching the Brigades Takeover Reference Group at the Gaborone Sun yesterday, Mbaakanyi said the occasion provided an opportunity to acknowledge the relationship and partnership existing between the government and the brigade movement.

The group was selected to serve as a reference group because of its members' past experience in working with their communities in the brigades. "Most of you have already sacrificed years working with your communities in an effort to provide training for the youth to become effective and productive agents of sustainable development," Mbaakanyi said.
