Shouldn't the AU go where democracy resides?

Genocide in Darfur, persistent deaths and squalid conditions in northern Uganda, hunger and misery in Zimbabwe. Civilian life-ruining rebellious rogue generals in the unruly Democratic Republic of the Congo. Abject poverty and mental anguish all over Africa.

The AU appears only interested in bypassing the real realities and causes of the problems that African peoples are grovelling in. The AU is consistent in, like a bypass that sails around the periphery of a town or city centre, dodging the 'nerve-centre' of devastation ravaging Africa.

It is  high time the AU preached, for practical purposes, to its 'stayist'-member state presidents John F. Kennedy's inspirational assertion that change is the law of life and that those who only look to the past or the present will miss the future. The tired past of being, for example, 'liberators' has not helped, say, Zimbabweans.
