Children are the leaders of tomorrow and therefore it is important for any country to raise them as healthy as possible. However, over 80% of children in D'kar are malnourished, a crisis that threatens that dream. NNASARETHA KGAMANYANE writes

A two-year-old old baby named Edward in D’kar was last year enrolled into a feeding scheme programme supported by UNICEF Botswana after health officers realised he was grossly underweight. This was caused by the fact that his now deceased mother had underlying health issues and could not breast-feed her son.

Don't let FMD outbreak drag on

Acting Agriculture Minister, Edwin Dikoloti, is right in saying opening an export-ready facility whilst Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD) is still spreading would risk getting the whole country blacklisted before a single carcass leaves the door.A ban like that would break the already stressed nation.
