Debswana, Boteti District Council boost food security

Debswana’s Orapa, Letlhakane and Damtshaa Mines (OLDM), in partnership with Boteti District Council, has officially handed over the Khwee Community Ranch, a project aimed at strengthening food security, creating sustainable livelihoods, and improving economic resilience in the community.

Debswana invested over P2.7 million towards the development of the ranch, complementing Boteti District Council's P2.3 million contribution.

Speaking at the handover, OLDM General Manager Mogakolodi Maoketsa said the project, which Debswana has supported since 2022, demonstrates the company's commitment to empowering communities beyond the life of mine through sustainable livelihoods and food security initiatives.
