Sitting tight in a helicopter seat hovering around the exploration site for the rare coal bed methane (CBM), a first time visitor to the area should be excused for concluding that sooner or later, Saber Energy would be flogging gas for both industrial and domestic use.

Observers say when Saber Energy Corp, a CIC Energy subsidiary, took over the exploration for the unconventional gas from Kalahari Gas Corporation (KGC) last year, there was virtually nothing one would write home about regarding the prospects of the country striking gas.
