People want stringent liquor regulations - Moroka

After conducting a country- wide tour to consult on the proposed liquor regulations, the Minister of Trade and Industry, Neo Moroka, has declared that the "people have spoken".

Moroka was forced to conduct further consultations after the Specially Elected MP, Botsalo Ntuane, moved that the minister should consult with Batswana first.  After the consultations, the ball is now in Moroka's court.

Amongst others, the proposed stringent regulations call for reducing the opening hours of bars and nightclubs.
