My Indian experience

My first visit to India was in 2009. I attended a conference in the city of Hyderabad. To be honest, I heard the name for the first time when I received the invitation.

I had to ask a friend who had been to India about this unknown place in the land of Mahatma Ghandi. To my surprise, I learnt that Hyderabad, which is in the state of Andhra Pradesh, is the heart and soul of the Indian pharmaceutical industry, which ranks among the best in the world.

The drive from the airport to the hotel was greeted by scenes of many people, cars, motorcycles and cycle rickshaws (three-wheeled motor bikes). I was amazed by the number of people one can see in one place at one time. The traffic jams were also something out of this world as we do not have that heavy traffic on our roads.
