Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Phandu Skelemani on Friday fiercely defended the Swazi Kingdom over its arrest of pro-democracy activists who are constantly harassed, intimidated and even arrested by the country's security forces.

He was responding to questions from Members of Parliament (MPs) who wanted to know Botswana's position on the ongoing political unrest in Swaziland.

MP for South East South, Odirile Motlhale had wanted to know Botswana's foreign policy position on Swaziland and to explain why the government has remained silent in the face of arrests and other forms of harassment directed at pro-democracy protesters.
