FRANCISTOWN: Situated opposite the Chedu Choga shopping complex is the Winning Life Ministries Church, a place that has turned out to be a hope of life.

With big red words 'Miracle Place' engraved on the front wall of the building, the church has indeed changed the lives of many. Many people have spoken about the miracles at the church and the positive change in their lives. On Independence Day, the place was filled to capacity, with many receiving healing from various ailments. Four years ago, Susan Lekgoe (42) who lives in Tati Siding had an accident that left her crippled when she fell off her bed. Since 2007 to 2011, 30 September, she had been in a wheelchair, until pastor David Chuma miraculously healed her legs in the name of Jesus Christ.

The Monitor visited the elderly woman to confirm her healing. As Lekgoe walked out of her room, she exuded excitement and explained how she mysteriously fell off her bed in 2007, and became crippled. Lekgoe said although the doctors undertook regular checks to establish the cause of her paralysis they failed to give a diagnosis. She said that at that time she was a teacher in the non-formal sector, independent and with enough support for her children. "Suddenly my life changed and I lost my job as I could not do anything for myself and I became a burden to my children and the social services, which took over the support of my family," Lekgoe said.
