In October, we will  be  contesting   the 10th  general elections when   we seek another fresh mandate  from  Batswana.  Since our   first electoral  victory in 1965,  we have been returned to office  on account of  our ability  to  respond to the  needs  of  the citizenry.  We have always  preached a  basic  message, easily understood  by our people to the effect  that  as a  government  we  stand for development  and  an  improvement of the  life  conditions   of  Batswana.

Our  track record  bears us  out.  Since  we assumed   stewardship of  this  nation,  the life of  the  average  Motswana has  undergone  tremendous   positive change.  As we prepare  for the general elections,  our message to the  electorate is that  we  still  have not completed  our  mission of national development.
