FRANCISTOWN: "As I say goodbye to you, I want you to keep on searching for the root cause of our country's poor work ethic," says retiring CEO of the Botswana National Productivity Centre (BNPC), Thembo Lebang.

Addressing stakeholders at Thapama Hotel last Tuesday, Lebang literally turned the stakeholders' breakfast meeting into a productivity lecture. "There is a problem in this country," he declared, pacing the floor at the podium. "We go to courses meant to change the way we do things. But shortly after returning from such courses, people literally forget what they had learnt."
