Kidney disease sufferer cries for help

A group of youth in Kanye has embarked on a mission to help Batho Madigele, the 18-year-old Seepapitso Senior Secondary School student suffering from chronic kidney failure.

A kidney transplant operation costs around P500,000 and can only be performed abroad as there are no facilities for such a medical procedure in Botswana.

All along Madigele was an ordinary bubbly student, full of life. He rarely complained of any pain until June last year when he started showing serious signs of ailment. He started vomiting and his body temperature would just shoot up to as high as 40 degrees Celsius and worse still his body would just suddenly swell up.
