Khama loses BDP grip?

FRANCISTOWN: President Ian Khama must move very fast to quell dissenting voices in the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) before things gets out of hand.

Recent developments in the party are reflective of a BDP that is torn apart. There is literally no love lost between the party's traditional factions. The factions have been hibernating but now they are back in action and are threatening to reverse the party's gains.

Khama himself is reported to have launch an unprecedented attack on BDP chairman, Daniel Kwelagobe saying that the former cabinet minister is power hungry. Khama seems to be out to attack and punish Kwelagobe.
