Kgosi Kgafela - From the court to the throne

On this day the youthful Bakgatla leader is not adorned in his royal symbol, the leopard skin but rather sits at his law firm's offices, Kgafela Law Firm, situated in Kgale Mews in corporate gear - shirt, smooth trousers. The Bakgatla chief is in the process of winding down as he prepares to bid the law profession, his profession of the last 15 years, goodbye, to join bogosi on a full time basis. With effect from next month he will not longer be a practicing attorney.

Kgafela II is proud of his achievements in the legal profession especially the success of his law firm which he founded in 2002. " It is not a rented office this one.  We own this building.  I'm leaving behind a respected legal outfit within our client base, the public and the legal profession. It has three attorneys, and six support staff. It has goodwill, " says the attorney.
