Is There Life Out There?

Ever watched those sci-fi movies where cars fly to the moon and there are penthouses in Mars? You cannot help but imagine yourself on those planets. You go to bed and you dream of flying one of those faster-than light saucer-shaped planes. It is a great but also disturbing feeling. GREAT because subconsciously you relish the moment, a vague admission that there is a possibility of life beyond the planet whose citizen you are.

DISTURBING because you may never get to know if, indeed, there is life beyond earth.
Astronomers are generally agreed on the probability of life in outer space.

Renowned astronomers such as Bill Cochran of the University of Texas in the United States argue that Earth is merely a planet around what is a very common, boring star - the Sun - and that there are literally millions of other Suns as centres of other galaxies.  They argue that there may be an Earth like planet with life on it, around at least one of those millions of other stars.
