On the sad occasion of the death of Irenias Mothopheng, we reprint a brief biography of him that we first published on January 19, 2004. Last year he made a comeback to the Civic Centre as a councillor. "I enjoy my job as a councillor," he emphasised. The Minister of Local Government specially nominated Mothopheng to the council following the resignation of one civic leader last year.
