Staff Writer TSHIRELETSO MOTLOGELWA observes the colourful Khama entourage take over Hatsalatladi

After 'Ian Khama's' helicopter had disappeared into the azure sky, the crowd seemed reluctant to disperse, as if they expected, if not needed, it to rematerialize from the sky again. The red clouds of dust hung in the air. In the center of the football pitch, with its slanted goal posts and scattered patches of grass, was a shallow crater created by the whirling rotor blades as they struggled to levitate 'Seretse's son' into the sky. Two small boys stood at center of the crater, partly amazed partly curious.

One, short, skinny and bulbous kneed, stood at the center kicking the raw earth with his big toe. He looked up at the sky where the helicopter had disappeared, squinting his eyes.
