FRANCISTOWN: Prices of commodities and services in the country are certainly on an unstoppable upward swing.

Street side barbers appear to have been caught off guard by this development. Their haircut prices have been the same since the early 1990s, and it appears they are not in a hurry to increase them. A clean shave, chieskop, mpandlane or letwadi, depending on how you call it, has been going for P10 since 1990, according to Boikhutso Mack.

A stylish cut goes for P12 while children are cut for P7. However, that depends on negotiations. The cut could cost as little as P5.
