Grannies prove "Age Ain't Nothin"

And the grannies, hexagenarians and all, did prove that "Age Ain't Nothin," as the event was dubbed. At the end of the walk, Dr Dorcus Mompati of Tati Riverside Clinic said women in particular should fully engage themselves in exercise and watch what they eat, in order to defeat diseases like cancer, diabetes and hypertension. "Many people come to see me about pains in their bodies and I always tell them that exercising is the cure," she said.

Dr Mompati said educated women should monitor their own blood pressure levels: "For you to check your blood pressure, divide your weight by your height to get your body mass," she said. "If it is 35 and above, you are at a high risk of high blood pressure. If it is 25 and less, you are at a low risk.
