As Botswana prepares to welcome Africa for the Africa Youth Games, sceptics continue to question the country’s ability to rise to the mammoth challenge. But in this interview, Botswana Africa Youth Games Organising Committee (BAYGOC) chairperson, Regina Sikalesele-Vaka tells Staff Writer MQONDISI DUBE a seamless tournament is on the way

Sikalesele-Vaka: I am actually quite confident. Last week we had people from the South African government to assist us and the feedback we got was encouraging. One of them said, “even if the Games are brought forward to tomorrow, we are sure that you have what it takes to deliver.”  A lot of work has gone into preparations. The planning phase has been executed quite well and as the chairperson I am confident we will deliver the Games.
