Baruti Sweeps The Board

His greatest source of inspiration is her mother for the simple reason that she has supported him single handedly from birth.

When Kabo Baruti first set his feet on the grounds of Letlhakeng Primary School almost 10 years ago, he never took school as an institution that shapes one into becoming what type of a person he or she wants to be. Today, through this institution he has won himself a Mercury brand personal computer after he lived up to the day's theme: "Hard work and commitment; key to success."

Baruti's idea of a school being a place where young boys and girls, aged around six go to play, eat and grow to about 10 years, nearly eluded him. But fortunately while in Standard Six at the said primary school, he was for the fist time among the prize recipients - and he has never looked back since then.
