Afro epitomises political prowess - Ntime

MAUN: Former Botswana National Front strategist, Kagiso Ntime, caused laughter recently when he revealed that his and President Ian khama's Afro hairstyles symbolise political ability.

He was the guest speaker at the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) National youth executive committee political rally in Maun. Ntime said since he joined BDP he has been mocked in the political discourse for the resemblance of his trademark Afro hairstyle to that of Khama.  "My defection to BDP has now become a hotly debated afro hairstyle issue," he said to everyone's amusement.

Ntime said, however, what his mockers fail to grasp is that the Afro hairstyle is donned by political heavyweights in the African political landscape like Oliver Tambo, Ian Khama and Nelson Mandela.
