A Visit To Tswapong

SEFHARE: Tswapong is one of the five administrative units within the large Central District. Settlements in the Tswapong region tend to be smaller, located at the foot of hills and also near water sources. Arable lands in the region are close by at a distance of one to seven-hours' walk from the village of Sefhare.

In 1980, the average population of Tswapong settlements was about 700 people.

Tswapong region has many of the economic patterns that characterise rural Botswana. It offers no employment opportunities in the form of locally based manufacturing industries or other non-agricultural activities.
