A social worker- provider of hope for the hopeless

Even before the greetings, he is bombarded with complaints and issues that confront the villagers. He seems to be their only source of hope and their redeemer. All issues that range from social to economic hardships are presented before him. The jubilation that suddenly engulfs the villagers could remind a Christian of the much talked about Second Coming of Jesus, the messiah.

This is a day in which it is perfectly clear the impact that social workers have on the lives of the communities that they serve. It is a day that has undoubtedly demonstrated the bond that these professionals have with the communities they operate in. It has also shown that the social workers can indeed be classified as important agents of change within the societies that they serve.
