Gomolemo Motswaledi's campaign appears to have gone up in smoke, but the campaign posters remain to haunt many and appeal to the conscience of those who see them. Ignoring them is impossible and so comes the natural human emotion to pity a bloodied warrior and for the mind to wander about options on what the next step is.
Passing by the main mall, just in front of Parliament and adjacent the British High Commission building, a sign-post beams a smiling Motswaledi. His eyes with a spark, full smile with those almost irregular teeth bare. And again, the slogan 'Moemedi wa Motia....trusted to deliver' beneath the picture now remains a poignant promise.
It underscores the indispensable role women play in our society, particularly in building strong households and nurturing families.
