Two necessary judicial reforms

Two days ago, the legal year was officially opened with President Ian Khama and other dignitaries in attendance.

The most important thing to remember is that the judiciary remains one of the three pillars of our state. This seems obvious. But it is important to always remind ourselves that these three arms of government should be equal and all have a special role to play in our citizens.

Our society has been ranked as one of the most socio-economically unequal in the world. This means that the disparity between those who can lead a comfortable life and those who are on the margins is wide.
