This is the right time to negotiate

Telltale signs indicate a suspension of a strike that had gripped the country for the last eight weeks.

By Monday morning the majority of workers were back at work, with the exception of a certain section of dissatisfied workers who continued to loiter around the Gaborone Secondary School Grounds.

Naturally we are excited that normalcy has been restored through painstaking efforts by various stakeholders such as the men of the cloth, Former Presidents, union leaders, government negotiators and other unnamed people who all tried to bring a solution to this long protracted impasse. A period of eight weeks shows the extent of the divisions and how feelings were hardened as time passed.  We must however celebrate the fact that a solution to the impasse has been found.
