Third term for Khama?

Could Olifant Mfa_s dubious call for the amendment of the Botswana Constitution, to extend presidential terms of office to three, be just the beginning of many such calls? Mfa was on radio yesterday morning calling for the extension of the presidential term from 10 to 15 years.

The Francistown West Member of Parliament (MP) Khumongwana Maoto, also hinted at this strange proposition early this year. In their haste to curry favour with the new president, members of the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP), particularly office bearers like MPs and councillors have lately been behaving like zealots.
