It has been a hard and long eight weeks during the period which the strike was ongoing. It was thus a relief when the Botswana Federation of Public Service Unions announced on Thursday that they are suspending the strike.

Over the last eight weeks Batswana have been greatly inconvenienced as they could not access services as they have been used to.

There were stories that people would go to government offices and get no service at all or who will be there will just be dragging their feet.
