The DBS must revamp its act

The state-owned Botswana Television (Btv) should be the pride of the nation, but it has been turned into a circus and a laughingstock by a few individuals.  They have killed local talent by not airing locally produced programmes and documentaries.  Programmes that used to inform and educate the nation about the politics in this country have been reduced to a joke.  The station has been turned into President Ian Khama's personal TV screen, in which he is given priority over everything.  It is sad that some individuals in a country known for its democratic credentials should be grovelling at the feet of the powers that be.
