Test, test, test for HIV

Saturday, December 1, was 'World AIDS Day'. Botswana was part of the celebration. The mini-event was in Letlhakeng in the Kweneng District. The first AIDS case was reported in Botswana in 1985.

Though at the time, the disease was not taken seriously, it grew into the pandemic that it is today. Government has since paid serious attention to the disease as evidenced by the amount of money set aside every year to fight the it.

Some projects have been delayed because a lot of money has been diverted to the fight against HIV/AIDS.
