Roads Need Permanent Fix

Last week one of the local newspapers carried a satirical cartoon about the potholes in Gaborone.

To refresh your mind, a council official visited guys who sell fish at Old Naledi and asked them where they were getting the fish since the fishing season is closed. Their answer was curt: "We get them from the potholes".

The roads in Gaborone have become a menace with the recent rains. The roads are just impassable. Of course, the rains have had an impact but honestly, some of these roads were in a bad state even before the rains came. So let us not blame the rains.
