Quit fidgeting with university

Everything about the proposed Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST) appears to always start on the wrong footing.

Firstly, a commission, made up of eminent personalities, was set-up to go around the country and solicit views on the most appropriate location for the proposed university.

However, at the end of the day, government, in its wisdom, decided to disregard the recommendations of the costly exercise.  Instead, it came up, as a matter of finality, with Serowe/Palapye.  The government's preferred location did not even feature in the recommended list that included places such as Selibe-Phikwe, Maun, Francistown, and Gantsi.  Our increasingly compliant and submissive society let that one pass.
